The apprenticeship program is one of the most under utilized tax incentive programs in Canada. Companies can qualify if they employ and train an individual in a recognized trade.

There are 53 trades recognized for the Federal Apprenticeship Job Creation Tax Credit (AJCTC)

There are 123 trades recognized for the Provincial Apprenticeship Training Tax Credit (ATTC)

If you don’t have a certified journeyperson on staff already, you will need to establish certifications first. If you do have a journeyperson, then we can get started right away.

Digital Media

The OIDMTC (Ontario Interactive Digital Media Tax Credit) is an exciting program for companies that qualify. The program is retroactive. We can amend your tax returns going back up to 5 years to claim eligible projects and expenditures.

In order to qualify, your product must:
• be interactive
• incorporate two of the following: text, sound, images
• be intended to educate, inform or entertain

This is a great program that is quite generous. The processing time is quite slow, usually takes minimum of a year. A careful expert review of the administrative criteria is highly advisable.
